Samsung Galaxy homeowners, beware! Nasty flaw allowed hackers to wipe your cellphone’s information



A newly found vulnerability dubbed “CVE-2022-22292” allowed hackers to make cellphone calls, set up and delete apps, weaken HTTPS safety by downloading arbitrary root certificates, and deploy manufacturing unit resets (i.e., wiping your entire information) on Samsung telephones.

Kryptowire, a cellular safety and privateness options firm, discovered the vital safety flaw in Samsung units working Android variations 9, 10, 11 and 12. Kryptowire disclosed its findings to Samsung final November. Fortuitously, the Korea-based tech large patched the vulnerability in February.
